If you are an event industry employer and would like to provide grants to former workers or employees that have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, click the NOMINATE button below. You can apply for up to $5,000.00 in total grant money for up to ten (10) former employees. Each employee nominated is eligible for a $500.00 VISA virtual gift card.
Grant recipients must be nominated by their employers (this can include independent contractors and freelancers that work directly with specific companies) who should fill out and submit the form below. The number of grants provided will be based on the amount of donations we receive. We cannot guarantee that your (former) employees will receive the grant, but we aim to provide as many grants as we have funds.

Who is the grant for?
The grant is to benefit workers in the meetings and events hospitality industry to include: Hotels, DMCs, Transportation Companies, Convention Centers, Event Venues, and Event Suppliers. Stand-alone restaurants and bars are not eligible.
Who can apply for the grant?
Application submitter must hold a senior management position with the employer. You cannot nominate yourself.
How many employees can I nominate?
Each employer may submit one application per employer location. A maximum of ten (10) employees per location can be nominated.
What is the employment status that the nominee must currently have?
The nominee must be currently unemployed due to COVID-19, have been recognized as a consistently outstanding employee, completed at least 1 year of full or part-time employment with the employer, and held a non-management or hourly position.
Where do I fill out the nomination form?
Go HERE on The Above and Foundation website to complete the application/nomination process. All fields on the nomination form must be filled out accurately in order to be considered for the grant. Employers please fill out your complete address. Incomplete forms will be disqualified.
Will the nominee(s) be guaranteed to receive the grant amount?
The Above and Beyond Foundation cannot guarantee the nominee will receive the grant, as grant funding is limited. But if the funding is available, then the answer is YES! Therefore, why it’s more important than ever that we receive local donations to fulfill the local grant needs!
Will the nominee/recipient’s name be posted anywhere or shared on social media?
The recipient’s position, company and length of employment (no names) may be posted on The Above and Beyond Foundation’s website and may be publicized on other media outlets.
What will the nominee receive?
Should the nominee be accepted as a grant recipient, the grant will be provided as a VISA Virtual Gift Card, which may be used for any online goods or service that accepts VISA. The Gift Card will be emailed directly to the nominee at the email address indicated on the nomination from. Please make sure email addresses are correct on the nomination form.
