What is Empower Events Tampa Bay?

We are simply a platform to help create a voice for our local Event Hospitality Industry and in which we have partnered with an accredited not-for-profit 501c3 organization, The Above and Beyond Foundation, to help us with keeping donations and funds local to help our event and event hospitality friends in need.

Who do I contact with questions regarding my donation?

Will my donation stay local?

YES! Empower Events Tampa Bay has partnered with The Above and Beyond Foundation to manage, process and track all donations and they will ensure that all donations and grants stay within Tampa Bay (Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.)

Will the grant nominee(s) be guaranteed to receive the grant amount?

The Above and Beyond Foundation cannot guarantee the nominee will receive the grant, as grant funding is limited.  But if the funding is available, then the answer is YES! Therefore, this is why it’s more important than ever that we receive local donations to fulfill the local grant needs!

Why should I help?

The Event Hospitality Industry doesn’t truly have a voice or initiative to help those in need  - especially on a local level, let alone on a national level.  And unfortunately, we feel that our industry is going to be one of the last ones to bounce back, after all of this is over. Even when our state and country “opens” back up - it’s going to be a slow, long, hard road for many of these businesses and their employees, due to the restrictions and so forth that we will have to abide by and to when it comes to gatherings.

How else can I help?

Please spread the word.  The only way The Above and Beyond Foundation can fulfill grants is if we have the funds to do so.  The more people that donate, the more funds can be granted. We need to come together and help support our event industry businesses so they will still be here when this is all over.  ALSO, please consider supporting our local event industry businesses by ordering a cake, a bouquet of flowers, balloons for a birthday and so forth – even if we can’t gather in large groups at this time, we can still celebrate!
